The day before the presidential visit to Islamabad, a representative Belarusian delegation arrived, including ministers and heads of enterprises. On the plane flying directly to the Pakistani capital, they reread their presentations and draft agreements. Some enterprises were anticipating substantial contracts.
On November 25, the Belarusian-Pakistani business forum was held in Islamabad. Nearly three dozen companies from Belarus participated, and about a hundred from Pakistan.
Three dozen servicemen from the honor guard lined the red carpet. The welcoming ceremony was accompanied by celebratory artillery volleys. This tradition is not just considered good form but also indicates the friendly attitude of the host party.
The visit of the President of Belarus was approached with responsibility in Islamabad. The capital of the Islamic state was adorned with Belarusian national symbols and posters featuring portraits of Alexander Lukashenko and the top leadership of Pakistan.
