Lukashenko: District executive committee chairmen do not bear the burden they should bear

Chairpersons of district executive committees are not carrying the workload they are supposed to. This was stated on November 19 at a meeting of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly by the President of Belarus, Chairman of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly Alexander Lukashenko, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

One of the agenda items for the meeting was the issue of enhancing the status of chairpersons of district executive committees to strengthen their role in the development of districts. A corresponding draft decree was submitted for the President's consideration, and he decided to discuss it at the Presidium meeting. This was especially relevant given the additionally invited participants, including top officials and heads of regional executive committees.
