Lukashenko stated about the growing need for Belarus and Poland to return to normal relations
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, congratulated the people of Poland on their Independence Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Despite various difficulties, fate has decreed that our peoples live side by side, strengthen cooperation and friendship, common Christian and cultural heritage, and broad ties in various fields. Today's geopolitical and regional upheavals, which ordinary people fall victim to, once again remind us of the high price of peace and confirm the indispensability of maintaining mutually respectful and good-neighborly relations," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State noted that this is precisely why Belarus is doing everything possible to facilitate travel, create additional opportunities for recreation, visiting relatives and friends, and establishing beneficial economic ties.
"Step by step, as more and more Poles come to our country under the visa-free regime, people's diplomacy is strengthening, and the need to return to normal interstate relations is growing. I believe that this natural need of both societies will soon be realized. Minsk is ready to continue working in this direction," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
The President wished all residents of neighboring Poland good health, well-being, happiness, and invited them to hospitable Belarus.
