President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced plans to hold the Supreme State Council of the Union State on December 5. He made this statement during a meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

 

 
"A lot depends on your visit. I know this. President Putin and I have discussed this, and we await the results of your visit to Belarus from the Russian government. This is so that if there are any issues for the presidents, we can resolve them in the near future," said Alexander Lukashenko.

In this regard, he stated that a meeting of the Supreme State Council (SSC) of the Union State is planned for December 5. "Therefore, we need to dot the i's. Preferably, at the SSC. So that both the current and subsequent years are clear in terms of cooperation for Belarus and Russia," the Belarusian leader summarized.
