Lukashenko confirmed interest in intensifying political dialogue with Zambia
President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of the Republic of Zambia Hakainde Hichilema and the friendly Zambian people on the 60th anniversary of independence. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Over this period, Zambia has gained the right to pursue an independent domestic and foreign policy, and has achieved significant progress in building a solid economic base," the head of state noted.
Alexander Lukashenko confirmed Belarus's interest in intensifying political dialogue with Zambia, as well as in developing cooperation in trade, scientific and technical, humanitarian, and other areas.
The congratulatory message also states: "Belarus is ready to implement joint projects in the fields of agriculture, food security, mining and processing of mineral resources, industrial cooperation, and the creation and training of units for combating natural and man-made disasters."
The President invited Hakainde Hichilema to visit Belarus to discuss promising areas of interaction.
Alexander Lukashenko wished the President of Zambia good health and success, and the people of this country peace and prosperity.
