President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the staff of the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War on the 80th anniversary of its founding. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state noted: "The museum is the pride of Belarus. Having begun its history immediately after the liberation of the republic from the Nazi invaders, it became a symbol of the struggle, courage, and selflessness of the Belarusian people, their unyielding resistance to the enemy."

"The unique expositions of the museum's halls, diverse projects, and programs carefully preserve the memory of the immortal feat of the Red Army, partisans, and underground fighters, everyone who brought the Great Victory closer," the congratulation reads.

Alexander Lukashenko emphasized: "Today, the institution honorably stands against the falsification of historical truth about the Second World War. Reminding humanity of those tragic events, it educates the younger generation on the ideas of equality, humanity, and peaceful coexistence of peoples."

The President of Belarus expressed confidence that enthusiasm and passion for their work will continue to awaken kindness and love for the Motherland in the hearts of visitors.
