Lukashenko congratulated Anura Kumara Dissanayake on his election as President of Sri Lanka

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, congratulated Anura Kumara Dissanayake on his election to the post of President of Sri Lanka. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

 
"I hope that with your support, we will be able to more fully unlock the potential of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic, educational, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres," the congratulatory message reads.
 
The Head of State proposed to update cooperation plans in the fields of mechanical engineering, agriculture, chemical industry, tourism, and education at the government level in the near future. "Belarus has significant experience in producing a wide range of goods and providing services that can meet the needs of the Sri Lankan side," the President emphasized.
 
Alexander Lukashenko wished Anura Kumara Dissanayake success in his responsible state post and the implementation of all planned initiatives aimed at the development of Sri Lanka.
