Lukashenko congratulated Metropolitan Benjamin on his birthday

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus on his birthday. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the head of state.

"The Orthodox Church plays an important role in maintaining interfaith harmony in our country. Through your archpastoral service and prayers, you make a great contribution to the preservation and multiplication of moral and cultural-historical values on Belarusian soil," the congratulation reads. "Your personal openness to dialogue with people of different generations, principles, and beliefs helps every person feel paternal care and support in difficult times."

The head of state wished Metropolitan Veniamin good health, longevity, and success in his creative endeavors: "May your wisdom and life experience continue to serve the strengthening of the spiritual unity of our society."
