Lukashenko: by opening the new academic year in September, we are all taking a step into the future together

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated pupils, students, postgraduates, teachers and academic staff on Knowledge Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.

"Traditionally, as we open the new academic year in September, we all take a step into the future together. After all, today's schoolchildren, students and cadets, learning the basics of sciences and professions under the guidance of both young and experienced educators, are preparing to take responsibility for our Fatherland tomorrow. It is you who will take the baton from the older generations: build houses, sow grain, create and master modern technologies, defend the Motherland. And also preserve historical memory, culture and traditions - the very foundation of the people's life. Study diligently. I am convinced that you will be able to make our country even stronger and more beautiful," the congratulatory message reads.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that the greatest excitement at the festive ceremonies, of course, is experienced by first-graders and their parents. "May school become your guide to the vast world of knowledge, a true temple of science, as well as a reliable and cozy home filled with the joy of new achievements, positive emotions and the smiles of true friends," the President wished.
