Лукашенко прокомментировал ситуацию со школьной формой

Lukashenko commented on the situation with school uniforms

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko commented on the situation with school uniforms during his speech at the Republican Pedagogical Council, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

The Head of State emphasized that there are no trifles in the education system. "Any inconsistencies, shortcomings lead to the entire country being shaken, from young to old. No need to name examples: you know. You remember the negative public resonance caused last year by the story with centralized exam score calculations," Alexander Lukashenko recalled. "I don't know if it's right or not, but I am informed that you haven't fully overcome this yet. We will study this in the near future."

The President demanded that everything be honest and transparent, understandable to everyone. "Everything should be oriented towards the teacher and the average resident of our country. Students and parents should understand how these scores were assessed," he noted.

During the current admission campaign, despite the fairly coordinated work, people complained about long queues when submitting documents, the Head of State noted.

"Another topic. Today, a question about school uniforms suddenly arose. Out of the blue. I don't see a big problem, but we need to react. This, it would seem, is a trifle, but there are no trifles in our work!" Alexander Lukashenko stated.

As reported, a pilot project related to business attire will be implemented in Minsk in the new academic year. It includes 20 educational institutions: 8 gymnasiums and 12 secondary schools. Students of these educational institutions will be required to attend classes in unified business-style clothing. The capsule is designed in a single color scheme, from the same set of fabrics, and uses unified approaches to accessories and design.

Other educational institutions will retain their previous approaches. For example, if an educational institution previously had two unified elements (e.g., a vest and a tie), this approach remains.
