Lukashenko: we have everything to repel probable mischiefs against Belarus

Belarus has everything necessary to repel potential provocations against it. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on military security issues, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

The head of state noted that Belarus has long been at the center of the planet's geostrategic interests. "This is one of the reasons, including the growing tension at our borders. In addition, (we have also seen this for a long time) outside our country, particularly among our fugitives who have left Belarus, various banners and, as they loudly call them, regiments, entire corps are being formed to invade Belarus at a certain period and seize power, to turn the country back. We have also seen and know this. Knowing this, we have always prepared for this - to counter these people. Especially through the special services and the Armed Forces. And primarily the army," the President noted.

"As the minister always reports to me, as well as the State Secretary and the Chairman of the KGB, we are ready, fully ready, to counter any threats that exist against Belarus. As I understand it, we have everything to repel potential provocations (I don't want to say attacks, strikes) against Belarus," Alexander Lukashenko stated.

Among the participants of the event were State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Wolfovich, Minister of Defense Viktor Khrenin, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Pavel Muraveiko, and Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate - Deputy Chief of the General Staff Vladimir Kupriyanuk.
