Lukashenko: MAZ remains one of the most large-scale and in-demand projects in Belarusian mechanical engineering
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the staff of OJSC "MAZ" - managing company of the holding "BELAVTOMAZ" on the 80th anniversary of the enterprise's establishment. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"MAZ is a legendary plant. Founded in the 1940s, glorified in films, it was and remains one of the largest and most in-demand projects, first in Soviet and now in Belarusian mechanical engineering," the head of state noted. "Every day, dozens of units of cargo, passenger, trailer, and utility vehicles roll off the assembly line, purchased by more than 40 countries worldwide. Your powerful vehicles participate in grandiose construction projects, win on the most challenging routes of the "Dakar" and "Silk Way" rallies. The enterprise has become a home for numerous labor dynasties, preserving glorious traditions and passing them on to the younger generation."
"Your diligence and dedication to your work have helped the plant withstand difficult times, while creativity and the use of innovative technologies and solutions allow you to look confidently into the future," the President emphasized.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that the purposefulness and professionalism of the large, friendly team will continue to be the foundation for new successes for the benefit of their native Belarus.
The head of state wished the employees and veterans of the Minsk Automobile Plant good health, prosperity, and peaceful skies above their heads.
