Lukashenko signed a decree on conscription for active military service in September - November 2024
On August 7, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 312 "On Dismissal to the Reserve and Conscription for Compulsory Military Service, Service in the Reserve." This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.
The document provides for the conscription in September-November 2024 for compulsory military service, service in the reserve of male citizens of Belarus who have reached the age of 18 by the day of conscription and who do not have the right to deferment from conscription, as well as citizens of conscription age who have lost the right to deferment.
The adoption of the decree will allow republican government bodies, local executive and administrative bodies to timely carry out measures for the conscription of citizens for compulsory military service and service in the reserve.
At the same time, the decree provides for the dismissal to the reserve of military personnel of compulsory service who have served their established terms.
