Lukashenko: with the establishment of the Security Council, the significance of law enforcement agencies has been raised to a new level
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the members of the Security Council of Belarus, as well as the staff and veterans of the State Secretariat of the Security Council on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of this structure. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The Security Council, formed on August 5, 1994, has gone through a path that has become an integral part of the history of sovereign Belarus. By establishing this constitutional, supreme collegial coordination and political body in the field of ensuring national security, we have raised the status and significance of all law enforcement agencies to a new level," the congratulatory message reads.
The mechanism for protection against external and internal threats created in the country during periods of escalating regional contradictions and global instability has repeatedly demonstrated its effectiveness, the head of state emphasized.
The President thanked the veterans who stood at the origins of the establishment of the State Secretariat of the Security Council, building interdepartmental coordination of state bodies' activities to protect Belarus. "You are an example of dedicated service to the Fatherland, an example of true patriotism," the Belarusian leader stated.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence in the high professionalism and reliability of all those who, at a critical moment of confrontation with new hybrid threats, protect peace on their native land, bequeathed to contemporaries by the generation of victors.
"The Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, relying on the State Secretariat, will continue to conscientiously solve the tasks set before it to ensure national security," the President emphasized. "Time has chosen us, and we will do everything to ensure that the sky over Belarus remains clear."
