"No tourism. There must be results." Lukashenko demanded to strengthen work on the implementation of foreign agreements

The government needs to increase the efficiency of implementing agreements with foreign partners. This was stated by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on July 29 at a meeting on international issues, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

At the beginning of the event, the head of state noted that the international agenda remains extremely tense. The schedule of international meetings has been quite busy lately. "All this requires maximum concentration of attention on past and future events," the President explained the need for the meeting.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that correct decisions are being made in Belarus to establish cooperation with foreign countries, and long-term relationships are being built. At the same time, the President criticized the government for insufficient efficiency and persistence in implementing certain agreements reached at the highest level.

"Let's agree that the role of the President, as they figuratively say, is to open a window in one direction or another, to create a general basis, a foundation for future agreements of government members and the Prime Minister. And it is the government (led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the control of the Presidential Administration) that should implement these or other agreements. Not to mention your agreements - government members - that you reach during your trips," the head of state instructed.

"There should be no tourist trips. No tourism. There must be results," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. The purpose of the current meeting, according to the President, is to synchronize efforts, consider steps for the near future, and actions to implement the agreements reached as a result of visits to certain countries.
