About Br600,000 will be allocated from the President's reserve fund to support talented youth and students
The decision of the Council of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Social Support of Gifted Pupils and Students has been approved. The corresponding decree was signed by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko on July 17, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
In accordance with this decision, scholarships of the President have been awarded to 192 university students. 28 winners of international Olympiads and competitions have been awarded grant prizes with the title of laureate of the special fund. More than 50 pupils, cadets, and students have been awarded special prizes. The award "For Contribution to the Training of Gifted Youth" has been granted to 28 pedagogical workers.
Over Br500 thousand will be allocated from the reserve fund of the President of Belarus of the republican budget for these purposes.
By another decree, Alexander Lukashenko approved the decision of the Council of the Special Fund of the President for the Support of Talented Youth.
7 winners of international art and creative competitions, including the folk dance ensemble "Kroki" of the Minsk State College of Arts, have become recipients of grant prizes with the title of laureate of the special fund.
Special prizes have been awarded to winners of international and republican creative competitions – 11 representatives of talented youth and the vocal ensemble of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. 5 educators have been recognized with the award "For Contribution to the Upbringing of Talented Youth."
Over Br80 thousand will be allocated from the reserve fund of the President of the republican budget for these purposes.
The adoption of these decrees by the Head of State is aimed at identifying and supporting gifted and talented youth, creating favorable conditions for their successful studies, further development of their abilities, and stimulating the professional activities of educators.
