The Belarusian economy is generally performing well this year, although there are some concerning factors. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko while receiving a report from Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"As I am being informed, the economy is currently developing well. Although there are, as always, certain concerning factors. I would like us to focus on these first and foremost. But most importantly, I have noticed in various media outlets that we have a negative balance. Although small, a negative balance is emerging (in foreign trade. - BELTA's note). I understand that the Ministry of Economy and the government should have paid attention to this and analyzed the situation," the head of state said.

He also inquired about the payment situation at the highest level. This concerns the volumes of accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Another financial topic of the report is the fulfillment of debt obligations.

Alexander Lukashenko asked about the progress in implementing plans for servicing Belarusian equipment abroad: "We agreed that unified centers for servicing all Belarusian equipment should be created. And to determine the locations, for example, in Russia, the People's Republic of China, and other states."

"I am being informed that we have certain shortcomings in housing construction. And a number of other shortcomings that we must pay attention to," the Belarusian leader outlined another set of issues.

The President separately addressed the situation in agriculture. "We need to mobilize. The weather is good so far. God willing, it will continue to be so. We expect a good harvest, but it must be gathered. Even if we have surplus grain and so on, it will never hurt. It is our gold and foreign exchange reserve," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko also stated his readiness to discuss personnel issues in connection with existing vacancies.
