Lukashenko congratulated the President of Ethiopia on the Day of Peace and Democracy

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself personally, congratulated the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Sahle-Work Zewde and all residents of this country on the Day of Peace and Democracy. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Your country, with its rich culture and ancient history, rightfully enjoys the respect of the international community, actively participates in the processes of Pan-African integration and expands its involvement in new international formats," the head of state noted.

The President expressed firm confidence that Belarus and Ethiopia need to more actively realize the existing potential for cooperation in agriculture, industrial cooperation, ensuring food security, establishing joint ventures, including for the production of high-tech equipment, interaction in the fields of medicine and pharmaceuticals, education, culture, tourism, including expanding the geography of air travel between the two countries.

Alexander Lukashenko wished the President of Ethiopia good health, success and prosperity, and the citizens of Ethiopia - peace, solidarity and progress.
