Lukashenko noted Belarus's readiness to make a feasible contribution to the development of Bangladesh's economy

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Bangladesh Mohammed Shahabuddin and all residents of this country on their national holiday - Independence Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Belarus considers strengthening friendly relations with your country as an important direction of its foreign policy in South Asia," the congratulatory message reads. "We are interested not only in expanding the range of exports to the Bangladeshi market but also in making a feasible contribution to the development of the industrial, agricultural, and other sectors of your state's economy."

The President expressed confidence that the supply of potash fertilizers, passenger and road construction equipment, electric transport, and tractors to Bangladesh, as well as the deepening of ties in the fields of pharmaceuticals, science and technology, and the modernization of aviation and other equipment, will contribute to progress, an improved standard of living, and increased prosperity for the people of this country.

The Head of State invited the President of Bangladesh to Belarus for an official visit at his convenience to discuss further steps to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation in a bilateral format and on international platforms.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Mohammed Shahabuddin good health and success.
