"Должно быть торжественно и содержательно". Подготовку к заседанию ВНС обсудили у Лукашенко

It must be solemn and meaningful. The preparation for the meeting of the Supreme State Council was discussed with Lukashenko

Preparation for the first meeting of the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly was the subject of a meeting chaired by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, according to a BELTA correspondent.

Among the participants of the meeting were the leadership of the Presidential Administration of Belarus, the Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, the Chief of Staff of the President of Belarus, and the Head of the Secretariat of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.

Speaking about various organizational aspects of the preparation for the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the Head of State emphasized the special significance and status of the upcoming event, as it will be the first meeting of the seventh All-Belarusian People's Assembly in its new capacity, as enshrined in the updated Constitution. "Yes, this is the seventh convocation, but it is special, it is constitutional. Therefore, it is very important to hold it at the highest level, both externally and in terms of content," Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

As of now, the President noted, the nomination of delegates to the All-Belarusian People's Assembly has already begun. Previously, a relevant organizing committee was established under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, and detailed planning for the first meeting of the Assembly is underway. "I know that you have discussed these issues twice, reached specific decisions, and are proposing to discuss them at my level today," said the Head of State. "Let's discuss the issues that have accumulated as a result of your work and make an appropriate decision."

The President paid special attention to the need for high-quality preparation for the meeting of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly and cited the organization of the presidential elections in Russia as an example. "I repeat once again that it should be both solemn and, most importantly, substantive. So that, like the elections in Russia, it is impeccable. So that we are not reproached later. All political attention is now focused on us. No turbulent events are expected in Russia, nor in the surrounding areas. The holding of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly remains. The stakes of certain fugitives and the West to try to bring as much disorganization and collapse as possible during the meeting and decision-making – we should not give them such a gift," stated Alexander Lukashenko.

As reported by the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the preparation of the VNS, Roman Golovchenko, all stakeholders are focused on holding this significant event for Belarusian statehood clearly and with dignity. "This, as you have already said, is the first meeting of the VNS in its new status, and it will differ from all previous and subsequent ones, taking into account the need to carry out a number of organizational, primarily electoral, procedures that are directly provided for by law," he said.
