Lukashenko: The Basic Law largely determines the course of our history
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated his compatriots on Constitution Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Today we celebrate Constitution Day, which has become a truly people's document. Adopted 30 years ago and improved in referendums by the will of the majority of Belarusians, the Basic Law largely determines the course of our history," the head of state noted. "Thanks to the Constitution, key state institutions have been created, and the rights and freedoms of citizens are guaranteed."
"The voice of the people, given for the continuity of the best traditions of the past era, has become a guarantee of preserving peace and harmony in society," the President emphasized. "The unprecedented trust of Belarusian citizens in the political system has made it possible to build a stable and independent state. And the fundamental values enshrined in the Basic Law, such as social justice, the traditional family, and historical truth, are our true guideposts, helping us to overcome modern challenges and look confidently into the future."
Alexander Lukashenko considers it symbolic that this year, for the first time in its constitutional status, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly will begin its work. Acting in its new role, the supreme representative body of people's power will become another powerful pillar of our statehood.
The head of state expressed confidence that adherence to constitutional norms and principles, and the responsibility of every Belarusian for the fate of the Fatherland will continue to contribute to the dynamic development of our state.
The President wished everyone good health, happiness, well-being, and new successes for the benefit of their native Belarus.
President's поздравление on Constitution Day
Dear compatriots!
Today we celebrate Constitution Day, which has become a truly people's document. Adopted 30 years ago and improved through referendums by the will of the majority of Belarusians, the Basic Law largely determines the course of our history.
Thanks to the Constitution, key state power institutions have been created, and citizens' rights and freedoms are guaranteed.
The voice of the people, cast for the continuity of the best traditions of the past era, has become a pledge of preserving peace and harmony in society. The unprecedented trust of Belarusian citizens in the political system has made it possible to build a stable and independent state.
And the fundamental values enshrined in the Basic Law, such as social justice, traditional family, and historical truth, serve as our reliable guidelines, helping us to overcome modern challenges and look confidently into the future.
It is symbolic that this year, for the first time in its constitutional status, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly will begin its work. Stepping into a new role, the supreme representative body of people's power will become another powerful pillar of our statehood.
I am confident that adherence to constitutional norms and principles, and the responsibility of every Belarusian for the fate of the Fatherland, will continue to contribute to the dynamic development of our state.
Happy holiday! Happy Constitution Day!
I wish everyone good health, happiness, well-being, and new successes for the benefit of our native Belarus.
Alexander Lukashenko
