Lukashenko: Belarus and Russia must create their own happiness

Belarus and Russia must create their own happiness. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Kazan during negotiations with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, BELTA correspondent reports.

Immediately after arriving, the head of state went to the Kazan Kremlin. Here, Alexander Lukashenko and Rustam Minnikhanov held a bilateral meeting.

"Perhaps it's even good that external circumstances have pushed us closer together. We have stopped arguing over trivial matters. We realized that we don't have many friends in general (and perhaps no real friends at all) and that we need to create our own happiness," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

The President noted that in practice, the parties are now implementing these approaches - it's working, but not without difficulty. "It takes time. We will do it," the Belarusian leader stated.

Alexander Lukashenko believes that Tatarstan is the most developed, high-tech region of Russia with a serious level of industry. At the same time, market competition is increasing due to circumstances - Western companies have left, and Chinese and other manufacturers are taking their place. But despite this, Tatarstan demonstrates steady economic growth.

"We know how this growth is achieved. But we are very glad. We want to cooperate with you because this is a high level of development," the head of state emphasized. "There is someone to talk to, people understand, manageability is very high, a хозяйский (owner's) approach - from the ground up."

The President is convinced that together Belarus and Tatarstan are capable of achieving a lot. "If we agree, there will be no problems from our side," he assured.
