Лукашенко: надо мирную и спокойную белорусскую жизнь наполнить высоким качеством

Lukashenko: Peaceful and calm Belarusian life must be filled with high quality

The peaceful and calm life in Belarus needs to be filled with high quality. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during his visit to the Church of St. John the Baptist on the occasion of Christ's Nativity, located near Minsk, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Alexander Lukashenko recalled that in 2020, when he attended the opening of this church, local parishioners invited him to visit it again. "I promised, so I came to you today. I came to congratulate you all, and all Belarusians, our guests, everyone who will hear me, on this kindest and brightest holiday – Christ's Nativity – on behalf of myself, from this bright and kind church," the President said.

He noted that the country has important secular holidays, such as Victory Day and Independence Day, as well as spiritual ones, like Christ's Nativity or Easter. "They have endured through the years, they are in our minds and hearts. And, as time has shown, it is impossible to eradicate them from us. Therefore, they are great," emphasized the Belarusian leader.

Alexander Lukashenko stated that another year has passed, and all the years of the current five-year plan, starting from 2020, have been challenging. "But the Lord, perhaps, protects us and has protected us. We managed to go through these years peacefully. And when we opened this church together, you asked for only one thing, as if foreseeing that these would be difficult years: peace in our land. We are capable of creating everything else in our country with our minds and hands. And so it happened. For now. God grant that it continues to be so," said the head of state. "We are transitioning from the Year of Peace and Creation (there can be no creation without peace) to the Year of Quality. We need to fill this peaceful, calm Belarusian life on this small island where we live today with high quality. To make people content. Waking up in the morning and going to sleep, putting their little ones to bed, people should be happy, they should be proud of their lives."

"I will state the obvious, but you will agree with me: everything depends only on us. Only on us! On me, of course, but without you, a quality life is impossible. Therefore, we need to add quality to this peaceful, calm, creative life. And then everything will be fine," the President is confident.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that he often sets only one main task for the government: "Give me the economy, the rest is up to me." This also applies to development at the regional level.

"Therefore, we need to make every effort so that we can not just produce a product (and the economy is about producing and selling), but do it with high quality. So that our product is bought even better than today," the head of state summarized.
