Лукашенко - народу Финляндии: необходимо вернуться к восстановлению утраченных связей

Lukashenko to the people of Finland: it is necessary to return to restoring lost ties

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the people of Finland on their Independence Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Unfortunately, today the unstable and contradictory situation in our common space negatively affects the sustainable development of both countries, hindering the opportunity to derive mutual benefit. Political figures of your state have made a significant contribution to resolving very complex conflicts for the peaceful coexistence of peoples for many decades. For example, it was in Helsinki that the historic Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe was signed. Belarus has also been contributing for a long time to the implementation of the initiative to organize a broad multilateral dialogue to strengthen confidence-building measures, security and cooperation in the region," the congratulatory message reads.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed his conviction that the creation of further barriers between Belarusians and Finns does not serve common interests. "It is necessary to return to restoring lost and forming new economic and humanitarian ties," the head of state emphasized.

The President wished the people of Finland peace, success, and well-being.
