Лукашенко подчеркнул готовность Беларуси к интенсификации сотрудничества с Венесуэлой

Lukashenko emphasized Belarus's readiness to intensify cooperation with Venezuela

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting with Venezuelan Vice President for Planning, Minister of Planning Ricardo Menéndez, emphasized the need to intensify cooperation, BelTA correspondent reports.

"I am pleased to meet with you. We have known each other for a long time, you know Belarus well," the Belarusian leader said at the beginning of the meeting. "We started from scratch during the lifetime of our common friend Hugo Chávez. We did a lot, but through no fault of ours – Belarus and Venezuela – there was a certain pause in our relations. They existed, these relations, but not so intensive."

The head of state noted that, fortunately, the directions that were determined earlier have not been lost and now need to be given new impetus.

The President proposed to review all joint projects, excluding everything that is irrelevant and adding new directions and areas of cooperation if necessary, thereby updating the roadmap that was determined earlier.
