Эмираты, страны Африки и не только. Лукашенко анонсировал ряд международных переговоров и визитов

Emirates, African countries, and beyond. Lukashenko announced a series of international negotiations and visits

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko discussed the foreign policy agenda, preparations for a number of visits and international meetings with the heads of government and the Presidential Administration, a BELTA correspondent reports.

"The topic of our conversation is international meetings, negotiations. First of all, my visits. You know that the year has been intense, especially the summer-autumn period. And we postponed a number of visits to a later period. Frankly speaking, to winter. Therefore, in general, there is a certain congestion," the head of state outlined the topic for discussion.

Alexander Lukashenko mentioned the development of cooperation with African countries, including Equatorial Guinea and Zimbabwe. "We agreed to visit certain countries," he noted. "I think that at the climate summit, which will take place in Dubai in the near future, I will meet with the presidents of certain African states and arrange negotiations and, if necessary, visits to African countries with them."

The President emphasized: "You all must understand, this is a distant arc of our cooperation, but this does not mean that these are distant countries." "We have good relations with some of them. Including trade and economic ones. This is primarily Zimbabwe. And through Zimbabwe - to other neighboring states," the head of state explained.

According to him, there is interest from Mozambique. "We agreed during negotiations with the President of Zimbabwe (Emmerson Mnangagwa. - BELTA note) that we must involve Mozambique. They asked very much, they are interested in us repeating the Zimbabwean experience in Mozambique. I mean food, baby food, healthcare. So that we can help them with something, transfer technologies to them in those industries where we have certain competencies," the President said.

Alexander Lukashenko spoke separately about cooperation with Equatorial Guinea. "They are waiting for us. We have done a lot of work on cooperation with this country in terms of developing a specific plan - a roadmap. How are things today?" the Belarusian leader inquired. "The President (Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo. - BELTA note) and I will most likely meet in the Emirates, discuss the issue of my visit there. But I would like to hear how this visit is prepared."

Regarding Equatorial Guinea, the discussion also concerns cooperation prospects not only with this country but also with a number of neighboring states. "As the President asked me, we could provide some support and assistance, primarily in technologies, to neighboring states," noted the head of the Belarusian state.

"And since I will be holding a dialogue with the heads of these states in the Emirates, naturally, all issues concerning the United Arab Emirates," Alexander Lukashenko outlined another topic for discussion at the meeting.

He asked to be informed about the situation in trade and economic cooperation with China: "A very important country for us. Naturally, there are many issues that the government had to resolve, if one can say so, in relations with the People's Republic of China. What was planned, what was done, what was not done?"

Alexander Lukashenko also noted that the Belarusian Prime Minister has scheduled meetings in Asia. "In this regard, I would like to hear about the progress on our main topics with Turkey. How the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working here. As far as I am informed, the Turks are ready for negotiations, including your visit, Roman Alexandrovich, to Turkey. My visit is also being prepared. But before I go there, it is desirable that the groundwork is laid and certain issues are worked out," the President stated.
