Лукашенко: Беларусь создаст в Ставрополе мультибрендовый торгово-сервисный центр

Lukashenko: Belarus will create a multi-brand trade and service center in Stavropol

To strengthen its presence in Southern Russia, Belarus will establish a multi-brand trade and service center in Stavropol. This was announced by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with the Governor of the Stavropol Territory of Russia Vladimir Vladimirov, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Speaking about industrial cooperation, Alexander Lukashenko noted the significant volume of Belarusian agricultural machinery used in Stavropol. "As you mentioned when receiving our Ambassador to Russia (Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoy. - BELTA note) two weeks ago, tractors account for 56%, and harvesters - almost 10%. But we have big plans. We have decided to strengthen our presence in Southern Russia, which has a predominantly agricultural economy, and to establish a multi-brand trade and service center in Stavropol," said the Head of State. According to him, such a center will allow the region's farmers and utility workers to become better acquainted with the range of products from Belarusian manufacturers, purchase the machinery they are interested in without unnecessary intermediaries, and receive professional service in a timely manner.

"I know that today you will visit the Minsk Tractor Works. The enterprise has developed a new tractor model for orchards and vineyards. I think this will also be of interest to you," the President continued.

In addition to supplying agricultural machinery, Belarus is interested in and ready to participate in the modernization of passenger, special, and utility vehicle fleets, Alexander Lukashenko assured.

Speaking about the creation of joint assembly production facilities in Stavropol (this possibility was discussed during the previous meeting with Vladimir Vladimirov), the President stated that, frankly speaking, the parties have not made much progress in this direction. In this regard, the Head of State proposed instructing the governments to submit concrete proposals by the end of the year on organizing the production of certain types of machine-building products in the region.
