Lukashenko shared details of recent talks with Putin in Sochi

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting with Governor of Krasnodar Krai of Russia Veniamin Kondratyev, shared details of his recent negotiations with President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Sochi, BELTA correspondent reports.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus is currently paying serious attention to its defense complex, driven by recent events in the region and the world. "We, together with our elder brother (referring to the recent negotiations between the Presidents of Belarus and Russia in Sochi. - BELTA's note), have agreed on how we will act in Belarus. Of course, we are not announcing this publicly. Our recent negotiations on your land were dedicated to defense and security," the head of state stated.

In this regard, he emphasized the importance of joint actions to reduce the likelihood of escalating challenges and threats: "Ukraine is just the beginning, these are the 'flowers'. The 'berries' may await us ahead if we do not mobilize and show them that they will not get away with it easily. We, and Russia included, are most concerned about Poland, and America stands behind Poland. They have decided to destroy everything that exists here, primarily the European Union. The main foothold is Poland. In 2020, they wanted to join us there, to make us a dividing line between Russia, the East and the West. But it didn't work out. That's why we are now paying great attention to defense."
