Lukashenko signed a decree on measures to counter unauthorized payment transactions

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 269 "On Measures to Counter Unauthorized Payment Transactions". This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

According to the document, the National Bank will organize information interaction between law enforcement agencies and payment service providers for the exchange of information on unauthorized payment transactions and attempts to commit them.

The receipt, storage, use, transfer, and other processing of information about incidents will be carried out through the automated incident processing system of the National Bank (ASOI) in compliance with the requirements of legislation on information protection and personal data.

Alexander Lukashenko also signed Decree No. 270 "On Amendments to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus", which made adjustments to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of October 16, 2018 No. 414 "On Improving Non-Cash Payments".

The adopted document brings the norms and terminology of Decree No. 414 into compliance with the law "On Payment Systems and Payment Services" which entered into force on August 27, 2022.

In addition, its scope has been extended to non-bank organizations that are payment service providers, in terms of undisputed debiting of funds from user electronic wallets opened by them.
