Lukashenko: Indonesia has achieved significant progress over the years of its sovereignty

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and the Indonesian people on the national holiday - Independence Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Over the years of sovereignty, Indonesia has achieved significant progress in the development of the industrial sector, information and communication, and digital technologies, has managed to become one of the largest regional centers and has taken a leading position in ASEAN," the congratulation reads.

The Head of State emphasized that in the year of celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, it is particularly pleasant to note the strengthening of bilateral ties, the growth of trade, and the expansion of the treaty and legal framework.

The President expressed confidence that the existing potential for cooperation in the areas of food security, education, and tourism will be fully realized.

Alexander Lukashenko wished the President of Indonesia good health and further success in his responsible state post, and the Indonesians - happiness and well-being.
