Lukashenko: Belarus is interested in reaching a new level of cooperation with Colombia
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself personally, congratulated President of Colombia Gustavo Petro on Independence Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Belarus, committed to the ideas of mutually beneficial development and peaceful resolution of any conflicts, highly values the significant steps taken by the leadership of Colombia to establish harmony and tranquility on Colombian soil," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State noted that Belarus is very close to the social policy of the President of Colombia, which is aimed at improving the living standards of the most vulnerable segments of the population. "Minsk is interested in reaching a new level of cooperation with Bogota and more fully realizing the opportunities for bilateral interaction in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural, and other spheres," the Belarusian leader emphasized.
Alexander Lukashenko wished Gustavo Petro excellent health and fruitful activities in carrying out his responsible state mission, and the people of Colombia - peace and well-being.
