Lukashenko: the transition to multipolarity can no longer be stopped by peaceful or military means

The transition to multipolarity in the world can no longer be stopped by peaceful or military means. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with foreign and Belarusian media, a BELTA correspondent reports.

"I will not claim the role of some player or predictor of what awaits the world. We will live and see. Probably, the most informed, enlightened politician, person in no corner of the world today can say what awaits the world in the future. But you are absolutely right when you stated that the world is changing. I often, speaking about this, stated the fact that the world has simply gone mad, has lost its mind. The subjects involved in this are also slowly losing their minds. Who they are, you know perfectly well," Alexander Lukashenko noted.

The Head of State drew attention to the fact that the world order established after World War II, in which the peoples of the Soviet Union played a decisive role in the victory over Nazism, no longer exists.

"Recently, at a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, I said that this world order has been destroyed today. It does not exist. We no longer live by laws, by international rules. We don't even live by common understanding today," the President said. "There are no rules, no common understanding. The world is destroyed, the world order too. Thanks to the games that the major countries of our planet have started. To put it very mildly, what awaits (the world. - BELTA's note): we are awaiting, I am absolutely convinced of this, the demise of the unipolar system. Multipolarity is emerging. And this process can no longer be stopped. It cannot be stopped by peaceful or military means. If a real order emerges, based on multipolarity, then it will be a completely different configuration that will ensure the serious stability of our planet, which will rely on multiple points of support."

Among these points of support, Alexander Lukashenko named the USA, the European Union, China, and India. Also, according to him, the countries of Africa and the Middle East will make themselves known. "I would like the post-Soviet space, as much as possible, to consolidate and also act as one of the points of support," the Belarusian leader added.
