Lukashenko: strengthening ties with Venezuela remains a very important direction of Belarus's foreign policy

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro and the people of that country on their national holiday - Independence Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"Despite the constant pressure from the United States and its allies, who do not cease their attempts to impose their values on us and preserve their world order, Minsk and Caracas continue to adhere to their own path of development, focused on creating a just multipolar world," the congratulatory message reads. "I am convinced that effective resistance to this pressure is possible only through even greater consolidation of states that share common views, similar to ours, on the new global order."

The President noted that the comprehensive strengthening of ties with Venezuela remains a very important direction of Belarusian foreign policy. "Maintaining an active and open dialogue at all levels is a guarantee of the successful implementation of various joint initiatives to ensure the progress of both countries," the head of state emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Nicolas Maduro excellent health and fruitful activities in fulfilling his responsible state mission, and the Venezuelans - peace and well-being.
