Lukashenko signed a law on days for medical examinations and reduced working hours for large families

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed the law "On Amendments to Laws on Labor Relations," which adjusts the Labor Code based on its application practice. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the head of state.

The document, in particular, provides for the release of employees from work for medical examinations with the preservation of average earnings. Employees under 40 years of age are granted one day off every three years, those over 40 years of age are granted one day off annually, and women over 53 years of age and men over 58 years of age are granted two days off annually.

Among the innovations is the provision of the right for a parent of three or more children or a disabled child to choose a reduction in daily work by one hour instead of an additional day off per week.

The law provides for the payment of wages at least twice a month to all employees, including those with whom contracts are concluded, as well as the possibility of alternating periods of work performed remotely and at the workplace within the organization.

In accordance with the document, guarantees provided to individuals combining work with study at the employer's direction (study leave, reduced working hours) now also apply to employees who study without a referral.

In addition, the innovations concern the introduction of professional standards that describe the job functions and qualification requirements for their performance, as well as the expansion of the electronic form of interaction between the employer and the employee.
