Belarusians know how to defend their land and have been and will be stronger than any challenges. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the ceremony of awarding epaulets to the highest officers, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"They are trying to mislead us about the real plans and intentions of the collective West. Unfortunately, our attempts to resolve the situation through peaceful negotiations are now called "diplomatic imitation" there. The price of this "imitation" is hundreds of thousands of human lives," Alexander Lukashenko noted. "Today, we clearly see a new wave of NATO expansion and an unprecedented buildup of the capabilities of the alliance member states in the region, including in close proximity to our borders. Demonstration after demonstration – a demonstration of force."

According to him, border service agencies record various provocations on the state border from neighboring countries almost daily: from planting corpses to deliberate drone flights into Belarusian territory. At the same time, the construction of walls and barriers on the border, its fortification, and mining from the Ukrainian side continue.

"In other words, our generation is going through a test of strength. We have been given the mission to preserve the peace won by millions of lives of heroes, our fathers and grandfathers. This means only one thing – we must be stronger than the threat that is once again casting a shadow over our land. And again from the West. As you can see, history repeats itself. When I speak of strength, I think of technical capabilities last. They exist. And we know this perfectly well," the head of state noted.

Much more important are the unity of ranks and devotion to the Fatherland, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. "And our Fatherland is from Brest to Vladivostok. This is the land, freedom, and our peoples who live here. Two states, but we have a common Fatherland. History remembers: Belarusians know how to defend their land. We have been and will be stronger than any challenges," the President stated.
