Лукашенко: главный критерий в оценке кадров - результат

Lukashenko: the main criterion in evaluating personnel is the result

The main criterion for evaluating personnel is results. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on improving work with personnel, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"In order to evaluate personnel (this is a big drawback of ours, and mine too), we start listening to all sorts of nonsense. If the Administration is not working properly or not working at all, then the government has developed a tendency, in my opinion, to talk beautifully, explain, package things elaborately and try to prove to me that it is impossible," Alexander Lukashenko noted.

He cited the work on the creation of new ammunition production as an example. Initially, the President was informed that organizing this would be very difficult. However, the head of state instructed to focus on this issue, and as a result, the tasks set by him were completed.

"You simply do not understand who you are dealing with. I have experience. And the criteria are determined by me personally. Therefore, do not try to prove anything to me here. The main thing in evaluating personnel is results. It has been instructed to implement one investment project in each district - implement it. If you haven't implemented it, then you have nothing to do there," the President emphasized. "And then they tell me: the chairman of the district executive committee is not coping, not up to par, just a little bit, we'll give him a reprimand, we'll re-educate him. Listen, what are you doing? Who are you going to re-educate? He is already over forty, almost fifty, and you want to re-educate him. If he is in such a position, which is visible to everyone (this applies to governors, and members of the government - all officials), and if he has not delivered results, what do you expect from him? The further it goes, the worse it will be."

As another example, Alexander Lukashenko cited the state of affairs in agriculture. Every morning, the head of state

"What is the matter? I am not comparing Grodno and Brest with Vitebsk. And who guarantees to Karanik (Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Karanik. - BELTA note) that tomorrow all his equipment and he himself will not be redeployed to Vitebsk to provide support there? Why are you delaying? I need results, especially in a critical situation," the head of state demanded. "The situation in agriculture is not critical, but very serious. But we will listen to the government next week on how it plans to get out of this situation."

"But this is just an example. So that you understand, looking at the country, I assess the performance of personnel and think: why is there no progress in this direction, what are you waiting for? Therefore, no dilly-dallying, talk, or eloquent reports are needed. Results are needed. And by this criterion, we will evaluate all personnel," Alexander Lukashenko summarized.
