Lukashenko congratulated Putin on Russia Day

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Russia Vladimir Putin on Russia Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"This holiday has become a symbol of national unity and pride for all Russians, a symbol of faith in the better future of their great country, possessing the richest history and unique cultural heritage," the congratulatory message reads. "Today, the Russian Federation is firmly defending its national interests, creating conditions for sovereign development, and consistently strengthening its position in the international arena. Your commitment to the ideals of justice, high responsibility for the fate of the state, and the desire to ensure security have received the universal support of different generations of Russian citizens. I am convinced that the relations between Minsk and Moscow, cemented by age-old bonds of friendship and brotherhood, will continue to steadily expand and deepen through our joint efforts."

Alexander Lukashenko wished Vladimir Putin good health, successful implementation of all plans and initiatives, and peace and harmony to the people of Russia.

Congratulatory messages from the President of Belarus were also sent to the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State Mikhail Mishustin, Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, and Chairman of the State Duma, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia Vyacheslav Volodin.
