Lukashenko approved the draft agreement on free trade in services and investment in the CIS

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko approved the draft agreement on free trade in services, establishment, operation and investment in the CIS. The corresponding decree No. 169 was signed by the head of state on June 6, the press service of the Belarusian leader informed BELTA.

The draft agreement has been approved as a basis for negotiations. The government is authorized to conduct these negotiations and sign the document upon reaching an agreement within the approved draft.

The agreement provides for the creation of a free trade area for services and investment in the CIS, and enshrines the principle of equality and non-discrimination of participants in economic relations, regardless of citizenship, place of registration, and form of ownership.
