Lukashenko signed a decree on the preparation and holding of the II CIS Games in Belarus

On May 13, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 134 "On the preparation and holding of the II CIS Games 2023". This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.

The competitions will be held from August 5 to 13 in 11 Belarusian cities across 20 sports. The decree establishes a number of preferences and benefits for the participants of the Games and volunteers. Among them are visa-free entry to Belarus, exemption from the need for registration in the country, free travel on public transport, and exemption from taxation of income in the amount of the cost of free provision of food, accommodation, material and technical, transport and other support.

In order to stimulate the attraction of extra-budgetary sources of funding, sponsors of the Games are allowed to include the amounts of assistance provided in non-operating expenses.

The measures provided for by the decree will ensure the high-quality preparation and holding of the competitions, and optimize the spending of budget and attracted funds.
