The conduct of state statistics is being improved in Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 114 "On State Statistics Issues" on April 18.

The document is aimed at bringing the Regulation on the National Statistical Committee into compliance with the Law of December 30, 2022 No. 238-Z, as well as at enabling the use of the Belstat information system by state organizations authorized to conduct state statistics. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The decree stipulates that such organizations collect primary data through the Unified Information System of State Statistics or their own software for respondents to submit primary statistical data in the form of an electronic document.

State organizations subordinate to Belstat, according to the decree, ensure the functioning, operation, and development of information resources (systems), and software and hardware complexes necessary for state statistical activities.

Territorial bodies of state statistics and authorized organizations are granted the right to certify paper copies of reports submitted in electronic form.
