Br1.5 million will be allocated from the President's reserve fund to support gifted youth
On April 13, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on awarding gifted youth. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
More than Br1.5 million will be allocated from the reserve fund of the head of state to the special fund of the President for the social support of gifted youth. The funds will be used to reward pupils and students, as well as those who prepared them, and to provide material support to intellectual and creative associations of students.
In addition, the decree approves the decision of the fund's council to award 152 scholarships of the President of Belarus to students and cadets of higher education institutions for outstanding academic, research, and creative achievements.
The adoption of the decree is aimed at identifying and supporting the most motivated and gifted students, and creating favorable conditions for the further development of their abilities and successful studies.
