Dear Veterans!

Dear residents and guests of the district!

We sincerely congratulate you on the bright national holiday – the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory!

Victory Day is a sacred date for our people, who endured all the hardships of the Great Patriotic War. This holiday has become a symbol of the indomitable will of Belarusians in the face of inhuman trials, the embodiment of the nationwide struggle against Nazism. The victory over the fascist invaders was achieved through the incredible heroism of people, the strength and courage of front-line soldiers, partisans, underground fighters, home front workers, everyone who selflessly defended the freedom of the Fatherland.

The years of the war became a tragedy that claimed millions of lives, and at the same time, an example of the high patriotism of our countrymen. In Verkhnedvinsk region, there is no family that has not been touched by the pain of loss and difficult trials – our district lost every second resident. We sacredly cherish the memory of the courage of the people who did not bow their heads to the enemy and defended the freedom of their native land, tirelessly pass it down from generation to generation, are proud of the feat of the victors, and educate the youth on examples of patriotism and love for the Motherland. Our duty is to preserve peace on our land and keep the truth about the distant war, supplementing its chronicle with names, events, and facts erased by time.

The example of courage and patriotism of our people during the Great Patriotic War unites, makes us stronger, and inspires us to defend the Fatherland, peaceful labor, and a careful attitude towards achievements. By multiplying the potential of our country with labor achievements, we strengthen peace and well-being in our native land.

We wish our dear veterans and all our countrymen good health, high spirits, family warmth, and always a peaceful sky!
