Dear residents and guests of the district!

On April 2, Belarus and Russia celebrate a significant holiday – the Day of Unity, symbolizing the friendship and brotherhood of our peoples.

Belarusians and Russians are united by common Slavic roots, history and culture, and a commitment to peace and good neighborliness. This fraternal bond has been tested by time more than once. We fought together against invaders who encroached on our land, built a peaceful life, and developed cooperation in various fields.

Shoulder to shoulder, Belarusians and Russians fought bravely on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War and proved that our unity in the struggle for peace, freedom, and independence cannot be broken. This commonality of aspirations is confirmed today as well, when the world is full of new challenges: Belarusians and Russians are in solidarity in the fight against manifestations of Nazism, terrorism, any kind of aggression, and attempts to impose alien worldviews on our peoples.

Our countries are expanding trade and economic ties, exchanging spiritual and cultural values, and strengthening defense cooperation.

The Verkhnedvinsk district actively interacts with the border regions of Russia, implementing projects for socio-economic and cultural development. The Kurgan Druzhby (Friendship Mound) has become a symbol of our unity, and we are passing on its traditions to the younger generation.

We congratulate you on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, express our confidence in further cooperation and strengthening of friendly ties, and wish you health, well-being, and peace.
