Violation of the procedure for accepting funds during passenger transportation

The Ministry of Taxes and Levies Inspectorate for the Vitebsk Region informs that during control measures against business entities engaged in passenger transportation by taxi, violations of the established procedure for accepting cash are still being detected.

Thus, over the 10 months of the current year, as a result of the conducted measures, 115 administrative proceedings were initiated against unscrupulous drivers, and administrative fines totaling approximately 54.0 thousand rubles were imposed.

We remind you that for this violation, the guilty person is subject to administrative liability under Article 13.14 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus in the form of a fine of up to thirty basic units.

In addition, a passenger has the right to refuse to pay for the trip if the transportation service is provided with a faulty, turned off (blocked) taxi cash register software or a cash register combined with a taximeter (except for cases of automotive passenger transportation by taxi ordered and paid for through an electronic information system using only bank payment card details).

Therefore, a passenger has the right NOT TO PAY for the trip in case of a malfunction of the cash register equipment, or when it is turned off, and, consequently, there is no possibility to receive a RECEIPT!
