On the eve of the autumn school holidays, the Belarusian Railway will hold the "Children and Safety" campaign
Preventive measures will be organized from October 20 to 31.
At stations, platforms, and on trains during the campaign, BZhD employees, together with law enforcement officers, will organize raids, during which special attention will be paid to children and adolescents unsupervised near railway facilities, and they will be reminded of the rules for crossing railway tracks.
Meetings will also be held in the workforces of enterprises and preventive talks will be conducted in educational institutions located in close proximity to the railway.
The issue of child injury remains relevant. Thus, over the nine months of the current year, eight accidents involving minors occurred on railway transport facilities, five of which were fatal.
The Department of Internal Affairs of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee once again urges minors to be attentive, cautious, and responsible on railway transport facilities and to strictly adhere to the rules of conduct. Tracks should only be crossed at designated and equipped places and only at a green traffic light signal. When crossing them, it is necessary to ensure that there is no approaching train, pay attention to warning signs, do not get distracted by gadgets, and remove hoods and headphones.
