Rules for the stay of foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus and compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus

The Citizenship and Migration Department of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee informs you that compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus and respect for national traditions are the obligations of foreign citizens and stateless persons staying in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Foreigners who have committed crimes, administrative offenses, or other unlawful acts on the territory of our country bear responsibility in accordance with the legislative acts of the Republic of Belarus.

We warn that measures may be applied to lawless citizens, including expulsion from the Republic of Belarus, cancellation of the temporary residence permit in the Republic of Belarus, inclusion in the List of persons whose entry into the Republic of Belarus is prohibited or undesirable, for a period of up to 10 years, and for some violations, up to 30 years. Foreigners temporarily residing in the Republic of Belarus are obliged to reside in the Republic of Belarus only at their place of registration.

Non-compliance with this obligation is an administrative offense, for which a fine is provided. We remind you of the need to observe safety precautions, ensure the security of personal property, funds (including those in bank accounts), and personal safety. We draw attention to the inadmissibility of violating legislation regarding the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and precursors. Foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily and permanently residing in the Republic of Belarus are obliged to comply with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus and respect national traditions in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.

The following measures may be applied to lawless foreign citizens:
- measures for expulsion from the Republic of Belarus, both voluntary and forced (expulsion from the Republic of Belarus, with a ban on entry from 6 months to 10 years, or deportation from the Republic of Belarus with a ban on entry from 6 months to five years); cancellation of the temporary or permanent residence permit in the Republic of Belarus;
- shortening the period of stay in the Republic of Belarus;
- refusal of entry into the Republic of Belarus and inclusion in the List of persons whose entry into the Republic of Belarus is prohibited or undesirable (for a period of 6 months to 30 years).
