Vitebsk customs officers detected violations

Vitebsk customs officers uncovered a case of intentional undervaluation by three times of the real cost of five semi-trailers and a tractor imported from Germany and Slovenia through the Latvian-Belarusian border.

Thus, the carrier planned to save about 36 thousand Belarusian rubles on customs payments.

In the documents submitted at the "Grigorovshchina" checkpoint for clearance, the cost of six vehicles was about 18 thousand euros. Logically, customs officers had doubts about the authenticity of the information provided.

During customs control and verification measures, the actual cost was established at 57 thousand euros.

Vitebsk customs has initiated administrative proceedings against the carrier in accordance with Part 3 of Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. The fine for providing false information will be up to 30% of the value of the vehicles.
