July 3 is a joyous and bright date for every Belarusian, a symbol of courage and selfless love for the Motherland. Each of us will forever cherish in our hearts a deep gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War and labor, to those who endured and won, revived the country from ruins and ashes, and gave us freedom and independence. The younger generation, which is building a sovereign state, has worthily taken over the baton of glorious deeds from their grandfathers and great-grandfathers.
We are inspired by the examples of heroic ancestors, centuries-old history, rich culture, and the understanding that the opportunity to freely dispose of one's destiny is the highest value for any people. To be Belarusian, to live on this fertile land, is a most precious gift that unites us all.
Our strength lies in truth, unity, and patriotism. We have a native country that we are proud of, an army capable of giving a worthy rebuff to any aggressor, and a victorious people who remember the names of heroes and protect historical truth.
Today, for each of us, there is no more important task than to preserve and multiply all the good and valuable things accumulated by the older generations for the sake of the future of children and grandchildren. The present and future of the Verkhnedvinsk district, the region, and the country depend on our labor, initiative, and civic responsibility.
