The new head of the Verkhnedvinsk district, Vitaly Lavrinov, was approved at the session of the District Council of Deputies.
The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, presented Vitaly Lavrinov with his official ID and noted that he has taken charge of one of the best districts in the region, which is a "pearl" not only of the Vitebsk region but of all of Belarus. The new leader's task is to build upon what has been achieved.
"There is one instruction," Alexander Subbotin advised, "to immediately immerse yourself as much as possible in the life of the district, identify growth points where results can be achieved, see the prospects, and bring them to life. The main task is to create conditions for people to want to stay on their land, raise children, and live prosperously."
The head of the region noted that the previous leader, Vasily Shilov, who headed the district for almost six years, made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the Verkhnedvinsk region. Now Vasily Shilov will embark on a new, larger stage in his work – he will head the Polotsk district.
