Премьер-министр Беларуси Александр Турчин посетил с рабочей поездкой Верхнедвинский район

Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchinov paid a working visit to the Verkhnedvinsk district

The head of the Belarusian government visited the district's leading enterprise, OJSC "Verkhnedvinsk Dairy Plant".

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize himself with the operation of the agro-association created on the basis of this enterprise. The plant director, Svetlana Chivirova, reported that the agroholding includes eight organizations: the processing production itself, a service department, and six agricultural organizations that supply the enterprise with raw materials. This year, an investment project is being implemented here within the framework of the "One District – One Project" program for the modernization of the energy system, wastewater treatment facilities, and the construction of a new sour cream production workshop. Funds for this project are allocated from the republican budget.
The Prime Minister familiarized himself with the progress of the project implementation, the increase in capacity for the production of packaged butter, and the process of producing Verkhnedvinsk cheeses, a significant portion of which is exported. Together with the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, and the Chairman of the Verkhnedvinsk District Executive Committee, Vasily Shilov, the prospects for the development of the agro-association and the possibilities for expanding the production of dairy products were discussed.
